This blog looks at the impact of mobile, wearable and connected technologies (or The Internet of Things) on brands. As a strategist and technology practitioner I am particularly interested in the world of advertising and marketing.
I have been working in digital for over 20 years, and 10 as a mobile specialist and I currently work with brands and agencies developing strategies in my field. When I’m not working on strategy or innovation projects for brands, I teach on the subject. I am currently Senior Lecturer in Future Media at BCU. I recently launched Maker Monday to bring creatives and technologists together in order to experiment and develop the next generation of connected things. I also Chair of the DMA Mobile and Connected Marketing Council which aims to both promote emerging channels and best practice within them.
I regularly speak at conferences and events in the UK and abroad, on the kind of subjects you see in this blog. Feel free to contact me if you’d like me to speak, or for innovation and consulting projects. You can find me on Linkedin on twitter @brillthings or (for what it’s worth) on Google +. You can even send me an email.
